- The Think Like an Archaeologist program is available for Providence Public Schools, but lesson plans are available on their website and teachers are encouraged to mimic the program.
- The Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology, Brown University has two archaeology-related resources written for teachers and students. Dig it!: Enabling Teachers to Broaden their Tools for Teaching About Archaeology, and Archaeological Ethics and Laws. Both are available with free access.
- The Archaeological Institute of America also has free lesson plans on their website as does the Society for American Archaeology.
- In addition, Project Archaeology, also puts out great lessons for teachers to use.

Discovering Archaeology program that includes a mock excavation. Although the Native Peoples of Southeastern New England program that covers Native Rhode Island heritage and culture from contact period through the present.
- The Tomaquag Museum has wonderful on-site and in-classroom programs on Narragansett history and culture from the past to the present.
