Description

Never actually a public gaming establishment--originally casino meant a small villa built for social pleasures, the Newport Casino has offered a wide array of social diversions to the summer colony over the years from bowling to concerts, tea parties to theatricals, and horse shows to dancing.

The Casino Clock Tower is dedicated to Joseph F. Cullman 3rd, in recognition of his twenty-five years of inspiration, leadership, and generous support of the Tennis Hall of Fame. The International Tennis Hall of Fame Museum, housed in the Newport Casino, chronicles the entire history of the sport, dating from the 12th Century and encompassing 18 galleries, 15,000 objects, and 20,000 sq ft of interactive exhibits.
