The Burnside Statue is of Ambrose Burnside, a general in the American Civil War from Rhode Island. It was cast at the Henry-Bonnard foundry in New York City in 1887. Including its base, It stands 16 feet high and cost $32,000.
Based in Boston, the company published and printed New England view-cards and holiday cards from 1907 to 1912 in tinted halftone.
