1. The essence of community

- “We are here for each other,” especially emphasized during such time of crisis

2. Student ownership of their education

- Emphasis on ethics in academics, in addition to the idea of being a liberal arts college

1. Academic diversification

- DWC program is heavily influenced by Western school of thoughts, which does not showcase complete the liberal aspect and expectation of the college

- A need for updating and universalizing DWC to include more of Eastern and African influences
- Certain majors not providing a corresponding minor, and vice versa

- e.g., Black Studies minor, not as a major; Psychology major without a minor
- Aiding in matching advisors to the students’ specific interests for the students’ benefit of pursuing their career pathway
2. Department improvement

- Inclusion of ALL majors for all students, in regards to the career center and its service (i.e. Career Expo, Alumni Networking, Internship)

- Strong emphasis on business majors, but not on Science or Pre-Med
- The career education center is not necessarily helpful for science major

- A lot of Pre-Med interested students but still not receiving a lot of help, especially in the advising area
- Study abroad and Center of International Studies

- Improving on allocating resources on campus
